Scarred by years of waiting for scanners to finish scanning and endless hours subsequently repairing dust and scratches with Photoshop’s cloning tool, I have enthusiastically turned my nose up at film-based photography for at least twenty years.
But my recent mission to digitise my analogue back-catalogue has reminded me that there is a positive side to how we used to have to do things. So, a few months ago I spent £110 on a Minox 35 ML — an amazing little camera I’ve always lusted after — scored a load of Kodak Tri-X and rediscovered the dark magic (and unmistakeable smell) of a 35mm developing tank. Here are some of the results.
